A recent meeting at government headquarters in New Alamein City occurred between Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and the Executive Director of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of Trade, Engineer Adib Al-Amy. Also in attendance were multiple officials from relevant government agencies such as Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, the Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation and Dr. Sherif Fouad, the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, while the Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchik, joined the meeting through virtual means.
Early on, the Prime Minister congratulated Al-Amy on having recently been appointed, and conveyed ambition towards ongoing cooperation between the Egyptian government and the Islamic Corporation towards common objectives. This was in reference to Al-Amy’s vast expertise in public roles, which he acquired throughout his career.
Dr. Madbouly stressed the Egyptian government’s recognition of the Islamic Corporation’s aid towards sponsoring particular necessities like grain and petroleum products, with that underscoring it as a significant trade partner to the Egyptians. The Executive Director responded with conveying salutations from his own predecessor.
Al-Amy confirmed The Islamic Corporation’s ongoing cooperation with the Egyptian government with adherence to enhancing partnerships in several areas through collaborative efforts. In addition to prospecting joint work down the line, the meeting touched on the status of ongoing agreements between the Egyptian state and the Islamic Corporation.
There was clear bilateral optimism regarding the progression of talks regarding these joint efforts across sectors.
